About Project

The Worldwide Learning Partner Channels Derivative Works Program allows Cisco Learning Partners to combine, modify various Cisco Course content and/or other Cisco & Non-Cisco material. The aim of this application is to provide a new tool/system called Derivative Works (DW) Program for Learning @ Cisco Organization to replace the current manual process of Derivative Works Request.

The Worldwide Learning Partner Channels Derivative Works Program allows Cisco Learning Partners to combine, modify various Cisco Course content and/or other Cisco & Non-Cisco material. Each Learning Partner must report the percentage of Cisco intellectual property included in the resulting product to the Learning @ Cisco team and seek necessary approval on the creation of this “derivative work”. Once approved and once such an offering is delivered in the market, each approved & delivered derivative work is then subject to royalty payments to be made by the Learning Partner to Cisco.

Derivative Works (DW) Program for Learning @ Cisco Organization to replace the current manual process and the new design of mine consists of the following functional flows.
1. DW Request Capture by Learning Partners
2. DW Request Case Approval/Rejection Management by Cisco Subject Matter Experts
3. DW Content Delivery process after approval by Content Delivery Manager
4. DW Administration for setting up user data, catalog data, roles, notifications and entitlements
5. DW Royalty Collection and reporting after content delivery
6. DW Dashboards for Learning Partner, Cisco SMEs and Cisco Executives
